You have created a script that adds a column to a table.

In your local copy of the database you have already manually added the column OR you have run the script. So the column exists.

Then you checkin your changes and then get latest from your source repository.

Then you run DBUPdater....which fails because it runs your script which tries to add a column that already exists! If your script was re-runable, (i.e. in this case it checks to see if the column exists before trying to add it) then DBUpdater would not fail.

Some scripts are difficult to make re-runable, if you have this situation to get around the problem you can manually add a record for your script to the DatabaseVersionScriptsRun table, that way DBUpdater will think your script has already been run and won't try to run it again.
